

OBJECTIVE
The goal was to build an advanced digital configurator for Chaya Outdoors that demonstrates the extensive modularity of their premium pergolas. Since the product allows for creating fully enclosed, year-round living spaces, the challenge was to seamlessly visualize complex structural add-ons (like bi-folding doors and zip screens) alongside critical climate and lighting options without overwhelming the user.
SOLUTION
We developed a 3D configurator equipped with a dedicated Sub System module, allowing users to intuitively snap functional walls, glass doors, and shutters directly onto the pergola frame. To highlight all-season usability, we integrated an Electrical Options suite for configuring fans and heaters. This is paired with a dynamic Day/Night mode to realistically render LED and mood lighting under evening conditions.

Users can enclose their pergola using a variety of modular options, including Motorized Zip Screens, Sliding Glass Doors, and Bi-folding Shutters, all visualized instantly on the 3D model.

CLIMATE & AMBIANCE CONTROL
A dynamic Day/Night toggle paired with an electrical suite allows users to evaluate evening ambiance with LED and Mood Lighting, while visualizing the exact placement of Ceiling Fans and Heaters for year-round comfort.

LIFE-SIZE AR PREVIEW
The built-in Augmented Reality mode empowers customers to project their fully configured, enclosed pergola directly into their backyard at a 1:1 scale. This ensures the complex structural add-ons perfectly fit and harmonize with their existing outdoor space before purchase.

THE RESULT
The configurator successfully transformed the complex specification process of fully loaded, enclosed pergolas into a straightforward visual experience.
By letting customers virtually install sophisticated glass systems and climate controls, then verifying the exact setup via AR in their own backyard, Chaya Outdoors significantly accelerated the decision-making process and boosted customer confidence in high-ticket purchases.
