3D configurator for golf simulator studios with live pricing and multi-zone customization.


OBJECTIVE
The core objective for the GolfSheds project was to digitalize the premium customization workflow for high-end, outdoor golf simulator suites. The development challenge lay in managing an intricate hierarchy of architectural and technological dependencies.
The tool needed to process four massively different volumetric baselines while allowing granular, simultaneous customization across external structural options, complex interior layouts, specialized simulation electronics, and structural rooftop additions.
SOLUTION
We engineered a state-driven 3D configurator optimized for multi-zone architectural rendering. The architecture is divided into clear functional tabs (Exterior, Interior, Electronics, Rooftop), ensuring users can navigate complex hardware and material choices without interface fatigue.
To drive transactional confidence, we integrated a dynamic financial ledger that cross-calculates category-specific premiums (e.g., electronic integration packages or rooftop decks) against the base model price, updating the configuration layout and multi-angle 3D viewport instantly.

VOLUMETRIC TIER SELECTION
The platform’s entry point features an intelligent catalog mapping distinct footprint scale parameters. Users initialize their build by selecting from four structural configurations: the compact XLE Edition (180 SQFT), the mid-tier Platinum (320 SQFT), the expanded Platinum+ (368 SQFT), or the flagship Captain (500 SQFT).

MULTI-ZONE COMPONENT LAYERING
To streamline complex engineering lists, parameters are compartmentalized into distinct rendering zones. Users manipulate physical layers including Exterior Cladding, Decks (utilizing premium composite color palettes), architectural roof Overhangs, and physical Door behaviors, swapping assets instantly inside the 3D viewport.

LIVE PRICE CASCADING
The configurator functions as a real-time pre-engineering quoting matrix. As users toggle high-ticket tech modifications or structural additions like an upper-level observation balcony under the Rooftop tab, the sidebar ledger dynamically re-calculates costs line-by-line - breaking down precise additions across Exterior, Interior, Electronics, and Rooftop layers before generating a unified Total Price.

THE RESULT
The GolfSheds 3D configurator successfully modernized a traditionally complex consultative architectural sales loop into a clear, high-converting digital storefront.
By granting users visual mastery over both high-fidelity physical finishes and intricate tech specs, the system eliminates spatial misunderstandings and significantly shortens the design-to-order timeline.
