OBJECTIVE

The goal was to build a high-precision configuration tool capable of handling complex architectural variables for patio covers. The objective was to provide a professional-grade interface where users could generate technically accurate models that account for every engineering detail, from overhang distances to different roof styles like Solid Flat Pan and Equinox Louvered.

SOLUTION

We developed an engineering-focused 3D configurator built on a modular component logic. The system allows users to customize the structure's skeleton in detail: selecting between Single or Double Beams and Rafters, adjusting Lattice Spacing, and defining specific sizes. A key technical solution was the integration of dynamic rendering for decorative elements, allowing users to instantly modify the architectural style through specific End Cuts such as Bevel, Miter, Corbel, or Scallop.

MULTI-STYLE ROOF ENGINE

A versatile system that allows users to instantly switch between three primary architectural styles: the traditional Lattice Roof, the weather-protective Solid Flat Pan, and the advanced motorized Equinox Louvered system.

DEEP STRUCTURAL CUSTOMIZATION

Users have granular control over the engineering of their cover, including the ability to toggle between Single or Double beams and rafters, adjust Lattice Spacing, and define specific Overhang distances for a custom fit.

PRECISION DECORATIVE ENGINEERING

The configurator features a dedicated End Cuts module that renders specialized architectural finishes like Bevel, Miter, Corbel, and Scallop. This ensures that the 3D model accurately reflects the premium craftsmanship and traditional design details of the final installation.

THE RESULT

The implementation of the configurator allowed Royal Covers to automate the technical alignment process for complex architectural orders.

Using AR to verify dimensions in real-world environments shortened the sales cycle, as customers receive visual confirmation of technical joints and lattice shadow patterns before the measurement stage.
