OBJECTIVE
The primary goal for the Ferla project was to digitalize the complex customization process for a diverse fleet of commercial vending vehicles. The technical challenge was to build a unified system capable of handling entirely different structural chassis - ranging from pedal-driven tricycles like the Ferla Vendor Bike and Ice Cream Bike to specialized push-units like the Mini Cart and Grande Grill Cart. The platform needed to seamlessly integrate an array of heavy commercial equipment, custom branding elements, and precise spatial data while acting as an automated quoting engine.
SOLUTION
We developed a comprehensive e-commerce 3D configurator utilizing a modular component architecture. This system allows users to select a base vehicle and dynamically snap on highly specific functional utility upgrades, such as Espresso machines, Sinks/Hot Water systems, and mini Freezers directly within the 3D space.
To support commercial business planning, we integrated a real-time pricing engine that calculates the total cost based on selected add-ons, generating a complete, downloadable PDF specification sheet that outlines exact physical dimensions and installed specs.
KEY FEATURES
01
FLEET SELECTION
The configurator features a centralized catalog that supports distinct physical architectures, allowing users to seamlessly transition between various three-wheeled models (e.g., Ferla X, Ferla Mini) and stationary or push formats (e.g., Grande Cart). Each base model strictly enforces its own set of compatible upgrades and dynamically updates its exact spatial footprint.
02
EQUIPMENT INTEGRATION
Users can heavily modify their selected vehicle for specific operational needs. The 3D engine dynamically renders complex functional add-ons, allowing merchants to configure Tap/Cold Brew systems, Extendable serving tables, and specialized power infrastructures utilizing Ecoflow or Iceco battery units.
03
BRANDING & QUOTING
The platform provides granular aesthetic control, giving users the ability to select base colors and upload custom imagery to apply a Logo Decal Branding or a Full Wrap directly onto the 3D model. All visual modifications, alongside mechanical upgrades like Pedal Assist and Assembly fees, are instantly calculated into a final total, providing absolute cost transparency.

THE RESULT
By translating complex mobile retail engineering into an accessible digital interface, the Ferla configurator functions as a powerful, automated B2B sales tool. Entrepreneurs can virtually equip their carts with necessary hardware, verify visual branding, and confirm precise physical dimensions before committing to a purchase.
Coupled with an AR mode for real-world spatial planning and footprint verification, the tool significantly shortens the consultation cycle and delivers production-ready build sheets directly to the manufacturing team.
